This pack contains five paper balloons: an octopus, a pufferfish, a goldfish, and two regular, orthodox balloons.
Paper balloons are a traditional Japanese paper craft. Japanese children have grown up playing with them since ancient times. Made from thin paper, they are very light and can be flown indoors. Recently, they have also been used for parties, events, indoor decorations, and as gifts.
Isono Paper Balloon Factory has been making paper balloons in Izumozaki Town, Niigata Prefecture since 1919 (Taisho 8). The crested ibis, with its adorable, round face, is a symbol of Niigata. Though the crested ibis is no longer extinct, the Isono Paper Balloon Factory has transformed it into a paper balloon, sending it soaring through the refreshing blue sky. The "Strawberry" paper balloon, which is slightly oval rather than the typical perfect sphere, is also very popular. The animal series with faces is very popular with young children, and the classic, traditional, colorful paper balloons, as well as paper balloons printed with designs such as cherry blossoms and fireworks, are overwhelmingly popular as interior decorations, strung together with string.
The price is very reasonable, so it's great for when you need a lot of souvenirs. It's the best small gift because you can give it to the recipient without making them look ostentatious.
